Rugby

Rugby is a very popular sport in this school. The children compete regularly in rugby blitzes in Musgrave Park . We are grateful to the IRFU for the training sessions which they arrange.

Much to the delight of the pupils, V.I.P.s of rugby including Peter Stringer and Donncha O Callaghan have visited the school.

We are all very proud of our past pupil Luke Fitzgerald who is now a member of the Leinster and Irish rugby teams and who was involved in Ireland's Grand Slam victory in 2009.

Luke launched our 'Seachtain na Gaeilge in 2009. Only recently another graduate of our school Cathal Quinn has joined the Munster Academy.
